The white areas
Expanding access to the Internet at high speed level in France was largely dominated by a technology : ADSL. This technology has the characteristic of a high spatial disparities: the eligibility of a given sector and the quality of service which can claim a user depend on existing infrastructure and stabilized-the traditional telephone network.
The White Zones
In the area of digital design, a white area is a geographical area that is not served by an electronic communications service. There are usually white areas for mobile phones (not covered by the mobile network) and for high-speed Internet access (not served by fixed broadband networks). Les zones blanches sont le plus souvent des territoires ruraux, mais il en existe également en ville, ponctuellement. The white areas are mostly rural areas, but there are also in the city, on time. For white areas treatment, there are several solutions as improving the ADSL coverage or the extension of the existing phone network with the introduction of new distributors and sub-distributors.
